To Make Peace, Become the Peace

Being understanding not only gives others validation but also gives yourself power at the same time to bring peace to the whole situation and that way, forgiveness comes along with that, too. We are all more powerful than we think and we do have the power within us to become the peace which the world could use more of and to not sweat the small stuff. :)

(This graphic which I've created includes a photo I took of the sky, digitally enhanced to a violet color, inspired by St Germain's Violet Fire Meditations.  The visualization of the violet flame alone carries such a powerful, cleansing, and healing energy, I think that if everyone practiced it, there would be improvement in humankind significantly. )

And if you would like to know more about the ascended master, St Germain and the violet flame, here's a good article from where you can learn more.

Also, here's just one of the many violet flame meditations available on Youtube which is very effective. Hope you enjoy.  Namaste :)

Ready, Set, Manifest...

We are all put on this planet with unique gifts and unique purposes to help this life we all live here to move in harmony.  What do you want most out of life?  Well, deep down, our higher divine selves just wants to fulfill our life purpose.

In a society which is seemingly controlled by money, we have a tendancy of letting money control us which easily makes the majority of us let ourselves be stuck at jobs we don't really want to be at.  Mainly that whole exhistance is fear-driven and that's no way to live.

As our conciousness is progressively rising and more and more people are becoming more aware,  more of us are finally beginning to realise it is time to break free from letting ourselves be improsined in the false reality and that is a good thing.  Just picture what the world would be like if every single one of us was really fulfilling our divine life purpose!

So how do we do that?  What it all comes down to is self worth, something so many of us struggle with thanks mostly to the negativity we sometimes get from others who aren't supportive.  The best thing to do is not worry about them for it's those types of people who are just having an inner struggle with themselves.  And putting that aside,  here's something else to focus on intstead: What is your passion?  What makes your heart sing?  What's that special activity which you find yourself so zoned into where the time just flies by?  And lastly, why aren't you doing it?

Remember, what you focus on is what the universe is going to bring you more of so make sure it's what you truly desire most! Namaste :)

One of the Best Things You Can Do to be Happy

It's good to have plans.  It's even better to let some of them slide.  It's healthier, trust me.  One big reason for that is that you'll avoid disappointment, plus you'll open up new windows to more pleasant & unexpected opportunities which makes things way more fun.

In universal truth, there is no right and there is no wrong, so just relax.  I don't mean to just sit there stagnant doing nothing.  Our existance in this life is continuously based on choices, like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book.  Never be afraid to make the wrong decision, just make one because there are no wrong decisions.  Just making a choice alone is the right choice in itself because it gains momentum towards new knowledge, self discovery, personal growth, and the list goes on.

Remember our time in this life is not for worrying, for fear, or for stagnation from over thinking.  It is plainly intended for enjoying.  So let go, have faith, and keep doing what you love and by doing that, you become a shining light of inspiration to others.  Namaste! :)

A Poem for Peace

With all the stuff in the news lately about terrorism and violence which has been happening all over the world, I've been thinking a lot about what would it take to finally have world peace. So I came to a conclusion. As much as we all want world peace, the fighting has to stop, plain and simple.  And instead of fighting, as it has never really solved anything, for world peace, we must start with becoming peace alone. So I wrote this little poem. Namaste :)

A Time for Great Manifesting

So today is 11/11 and also a new moon which makes it super magical.  Today is the perfect day to pay special attention to what we would like to manifest into our life.  It is important to focus on what you're greatful for and only on the things which bring you joy and the universe shall deliver.  Here's to turning our dreams into reality and making room for what we as light beings truly deserve.  Namaste! :)

How to Be in the Moment

Happiest are those who can be in the moment.  How do you be in the moment?  Putting the phone away, at least for a little while is a good start.

Last night, I went with my boyfriend and his mom to go see Florence & the Machine perform live in Vancouver, B.C.  It was an amazing performance by an amazing and inspiring artist whose music and angelic voice touched my soul on such a profound level.  One thing which really got me about the night was about halfway through when Florence asked everyone to "do something controversial and please put the phones away!" while explaining the obvious reasons why which only heightened my respect for her even more.  And everyone did...at least for a while and it was awesome.

All in all I do beleive there is a fine line between phone use and really being in the moment.  Those who stand there excessively filming are just sharing the moment without being fully in it.

On another note, I snapped this one pic with my phone to capture this magical moment of when practically all the lights in the whole place were out and the only source of light was coming from the little flashlights from people's phones.  It all started with one person doing it, followed by many more which resulted in a truly heartwarming vibe :)

And this, my friends is how you properly use a phone at a concert.  So before going to your next live show, keep this in mind.  And thank you, Florence not only for your talent and outstanding performance, but the fine example you set on what being in the moment is all about.  Namaste! :)

Always Something to be Thankful For

Well it's that time of year again.  Everyone's getting together to celebrate with family, friends and other important people in their life. Whether they put together an extravagant turkey spread or just order in takeout, what matters most is the quality time that is spent with loved ones.

It is also that time of year where it can be bittersweet for those of us who are missing loved ones who were once living but passed on.  And to those people, what I have to say is I can relate, remembering all those get togethers in the past, hearing their laughter and feeling their hugs.

For me, thanksgiving was always a time I looked forward to where I'd visit my mom, help her with dinner, share some great laughs, sing some songs, and create the fondest memories.  Here's a picture of the mums she gave me over three years ago while she was still living and here they are still blooming every fall. <3

Being a firm believer in spirit, I know that our loved ones who have passed still never leave our side and they're even closer with us than they were before.  And all that they would ever want for us is to celebrate, be happy and to love one another for our joy that we feel here in the living is also a big part of their joy on the other side.

So appreciate one another and celebrate each other's differences.  Replace the drama and heaviness with love, light, & laughter.  Be thankful for every little thing and remember that the more things you find to be thankful for, the more things there will be to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving! Namaste:)

Vote for your Own Party!

So election time is near. And as you know, "woo-woo heads" like me don't get too involved in the whole political thing too deeply even though I understand, yes there has to be a stop to all this madness which is totally destructive to our planet and mankind! To be quite honest, I'm just not down with all the hating. And it's all I see throughout every single upcoming election. People bashing people and blah blah blah.  Yes I know change is much needed but if you wanna trash the shit pile, you become part of the shit pile.  It's just the way it is. Like for example: You hate Walmart but you just run in to grab a few things. You're at the checkout line and start judging those around you. So where are you, then?  Standing in the same lineup as the rest of them....

It's just like how we hate some politicians. Like it or not, they're all just human, breathing, pooping, eating, sleeping kinda folk like you and I.  Sure, they may be corrupt and need to be stopped.  Either way, it's all tragedy to the extreme.  But don't get me wrong, I'll still get out there and vote, dammit.

But in the meantime, as I know how all of you are doing your best to take a stand for what's right, while you're at it, please take a minute and just...

.....breathe. Be thankful for what you have and the people in your life, whatever their beliefs may be. Laugh and enjoy each other's differences. Appreciate the small simple things! And think...aside from the political parties there are to chose from, if you were to start one yourself, what would it be?  Please share! Mine would be the Party Party just 'cause life's too short for bullshit.  Namaste :)

So What Is Spirituality, Anyway?

Everyone has their own thoughts and ideas about what it means to be spiritual. But what does it really mean?

Sure there are certain practices which are related to being spiritual such as meditating, yoga, praying, using crystals, and so on, which are all helpful and beneficial for our inner peace, balance, health, and well being. More and more people are becoming awakened and doing these types of practices which is a great thing. But is everyone really seeing the true meaning?

As humans in this life, as much as we can strive to be the very "best" we can be, like for example be completely vegan and follow a strict healthy routine every single day, eventually we will slide away from it in one way or another.  But one thing we must remember is that when we do stick to a healthier routine to become more spiritual, we feel good about ourselves yet ironically we sometimes tend to believe we are better and superior than those of us who don't follow the same lifestyle which is totally natural.  It's just the ego rearing its head to mess with us every time we try to make a positive change. Alot of people tend to think the ego just relates to vanity.  Sure, vanity is part of it, but the ego is much more than that.  It's that voice inside our heads which tells us lies and feeds off our fears.  And the more we believe in that ego, the bigger it gets, preventing us from being our true authentic selves.  How I've learned about the ego is from listening to this great podcast, Gnostic Radio which I highly recommend to gain a deeper and more meaningful perspective of life which is truly enlightening and well worth the time.  It's great to listen to while quietly doing small tasks or whatever you like. :)

So having a clearer understanding of how the ego works,  we can more clearly recognize the ego every time it pops up, then we can become more free and the true meaning of spirituality becomes more clear.  Although it may not happen overnight, practicing mindfulness, self awareness, and acceptantce which can all be done with meditation does help.  Plus keeping a journal, and even listening to enlightening podcasts such as Gnostic Radio is good, too.

And to the best of my understanding,  being spiritual is really just having unconditional love, acceptance, and compassion for all living beings including yourself just the same, regardless of lifestyle or belief.  Namaste :)

It's a Never Ending Journey...

So lately I've been feeling this strong urge to write, hence this blog site.  So where should I begin? Um...

In the past recent years, I've been delving deeper into self-help, spiritualism, practicing positive thinking, meditation, and many other related things to change my life for the better, reach higher consciousness, and gain a clearer, more enlightened way of looking at life. Although I do find all these things work, it also has to be something to keep sticking with which isn't always easy for everyone seeing as we all live in an ego driven reality full of distractions. I still keep trying, yet still learn something new at the same time which is always a plus.

At the age of 40, I've just recently realized that there is no failure.  Nope failure does not exist as long as you just keep going.  Also, I do not believe in the term "self improvement".  To me, the term just means that the self is flawed and needs to be improved which just sounds negative.  I'd much rather go with "self enhancement" because deep down we are all perfect with unique qualities which could use some enhancing and encouraging.  In the end, there is nothing to really "improve" but there's always something to strengthen and complement.  And that is my honest recent realization.  I only wish I knew this long ago, especially during my 20's but that's all just a small part of the journey.

We have our good days and we have our not so good days. In the way that I see it, if it weren't for the bad days, how can we have our good days?  Imagine what life would be like if we had nothing but good days. Every day would be exactly the same. In fact it would be no different than if every single day was a bad day. No one would ever know the difference. There'd be nothing to learn and nothing to grow from. Life would have no meaning.  I'm actually thankful for bad days because its because of them, there are more opportunities and more room for growth and change. And change is nature's delight.

So how do we get through the bad days and the pain that that comes along with them?    I've learned that bad days should be faced with acceptance which I know is easier said than done, especially if you're a drama queen like me who has a tendency to overreact to the point of dwelling in the whole "Oh woah is me, my life is over!" attitude, only to realize that that way of thinking is just plain silliness when it passes and then you just feel stupid for letting yourself dwell in that negative nonsense in the first place.  Well you know what?  You are a human being with human emotions so there's no reason to beat yourself up for it.  That's just human nature and there's no shame in that. We all have a right to have our bad days which I find is the best time to retreat, reflect, even throw our own occasional pity party with ice cream & tissues or whatever you wanna do, whatever it takes!  And after that, you know you went through that mess so now you're stronger and better than before having shed that old skin, shiny and new again with a new wisdom and ready to be yourself again, only better. But the main thing to remember is this: Always take time for yourself. Nurture yourself. That way, you can shine again, even brighter than before! Even so in a way to help others and being able to do that is the greatest gift you can gift yourself at the same time! Now how cool is that?

So what it all comes down to is that in this constant journey of life, the way you treat yourself is how you treat everyone else around you. Namaste :)
